Homework

• We assign HW Monday-Thursday nights.  If a HW assignment is not completed, the assignment will be made up during PE time, or, on Club Day, during lunch. 
• Each month will have a book report and 1 or 2 oral poems assigned to the students.
• A book report that is turned in late results in -10 points (1 day late),-15 points (2 days late), and a 60% after 3 days.
• No book report results in missing PE 1 day a week to allow the student that time to read his/her book report book (for the next book report).

*** STUDY ISLAND POLICY-Each student will eventually need to earn a passing score in every topic.   We will assign weekly topics.  Our morning  reports will need to confirm that a student spent 30 minutes each night on that week's assigned topic, not just the ones they like the most! .    Students will also need to  spend a minimum of one hour/week on any previously assigned topics that the student has not passed yet. We will also have weeks where no new assignments will be assigned.  These weeks will be set aside for catch up on previous assignments that were not passed.****
